YET ANOTHER ONE in the Atlanta area. What is WRONG with these people? http://www.ajc.com/news/news/report-toddler-left-in-hot-car-while-mother-shoppe/ngx8g/

Clearly, she has learned something from the Ross Harris case (BBM):
She said she had forgotten about the child because her mother put the girl in a rear-facing car seat, according to Channel 2. Adams was arrested and charged with cruelty to children and reckless conduct, Channel 2 reported.

The child is 11 months old and is fortunately OK.

I will bet that they won't press any charges and if they do, they will be "mild". I am starting to wonder if financial status and race play a factor in whether charges are pressed or not and I think maybe Ross Harris is the exception? Anyone know?

Also as a side note, it makes me sick that they were able to successfully raise money for this family when a potential crime was committed.

She is not being charged.IMO She killed her child and should be charged . I believe this is the new way to get away with murdering a child, many killed by a pillow but Doctors thought it was sids until they started to realize and investigate thoroughly. If a child dies because you forgot about them how are you not held accountable for it? Insanity IMO !

Junek told authorities that he dropped his four-year-old son at preschool and then was supposed to drop off the toddler at the Child Development Center at NAS Patuxent River.
Instead, Junek said he drove to NAS Patuxent River, entered the base and drove directly to his office, leaving the toddler in a rear-facing car seat when he parked at 8:50 a.m.

Junek told authorities he got a call from his wife at about 3:20 p.m. She asked if he had their son's car seat with him. He wasn't sure at first, and then realized he might not have dropped off the boy at the child center.

At 1 p.m., Junek drove his car to a meeting that lasted until 2 p.m., according to the complaint. He then drove back to his office. Junek told officers that he did not notice his son was still in the car seat.
