I've requested a mod to merge these threads. In a post there @chaz shared a link to Twitter. The reporter's tweet says this was a suicide. ETA - She also says this is NOT Suzanne Morphew.

Can tweets be edited? I think this reporter changed her tweet. When I read it yesterday it mentioned U.S.24 which is why I thought it referred to this case. Now it says the woman was found
in the Skaguay Reservoir.

Yes, that is how i understand it as well. The death of the 22 yo old DD is investigated as a homicide. And a well-known local You Tuber is on the job...

I searched for more articles and am shocked to see the amount of murders/suspicious deaths that have happened in Manitou Springs,CO. I've never heard of the place. Manitou Springs had a population just shy of only 5,000 ppl in 2010. What in the world is going on there?

It's not as isolated as it seems. It's effectively a suburb of Colorado Springs, a city of half a million people with a large military presence from the Air Force Academy, Fort Carson, and Cheyenne Mountain. A fair amount of industry.

Manitou Springs is the jump off point for hiking Pikes Peak. Or you can take the cog railway. Or drive. There are several other tourist attractions nearby. So it's an area a lot of people are passingly familiar with.

I used to have a job that took me to the Colo Spgs area regularly. Beautiful place. Lots of sketchy people.

There is an area in between CO Springs and Manitou that is super sketchy. Plenty of drug activity and pimps in the area...it's been a trouble spot for sometime. I do think Manitou is beautiful, but there is a stretch in between that most definitely is not.
I share a mutual friend with her (my friend's son) who has a meth problem. I also unfortunately see a few other people from back when I did photography, one who told me he was a pimp, and a few other sketchers. I feel she fell in with the wrong crowd. RIP
