At a crucial time, soon after Hailey went missng, we had the image of Billie in an orange jail jumpsuit. Why? She LIED to LE about Shaun's whereabouts. That leaves an impression. Crucial time was lost, she moved away with POI numero uno and now she is involved. I also remember her tantrum about the video during a dinner. Has she changed her spots? For Hailey's sake, I hope so.

My concern is for Hailey, she is the primary focus here. Billie is still having birthdays, isn't she? What about Hailey?

Crucial time was not lost. That happened ages after HD dissappeared and it had nothing to do with her disappearance anyway.

BBM- I beg your pardon? They are talking to Connie Jones because she is Hailey's Grandmother. She's not some peripheral joe blow from down the street. She has been in her life since birth. I've grown immune to the contrariness of your posts in this thread, but this one was too much.

Yes, and she lives locally while BD does not. Local reporters are obviously going to talk to her because she is local. You disagree? Who is easier to talk to - someone who lives in or near to the same town you do, or someone who lives in a city far away?

Because she doesnt love SA. Her story wasn't about a cake, it was a way to bring SA into the story as the bad guy.

She has many stories like this. The problem is that most stretch credibilty and you don't hear anything like them from the other principals in HD's life. So what should one make of them, and why does she bring them up? If SA really was targeting malice at HD you would think that BD, or DD or CD would have noticed something, even if it was in retrospect, but apparently none did.

I thought you might like to see this...just one of the interviews that Billie did from the vigil on Sunday night. This shows she isnt trying to avoid the media at alll. Incidentally has anyone heard or read anything about the suspect in the case actuallly giving any interviews or quotes to mark Haileys birthday?

I didn't say she was trying to avoid the media, I said she had every reason to.

If BD and SA have split up then I don't think there would be any reason for him to give interviews. He is not a relative. He has probably just gone on with his life. All previous interviews and appearances were given at BD's side as far as I can tell, probably that was done because she told him to. I got the impression that he wouldn't have done any of those interviews at all if they weren't still together, he seemed like a background kind of guy. CD seemed to be much the same, which could be why we don't hear from him any more either. Both men seem to be similar persona in that respect, which I guess is BD's "type". IMO both of them pretty much took direction from BD, and once they were out of her picture they faded into the background.

So, I think probably we are not going to hear from SA.

As Hailey's grandmother, Connie has every right to say what she wishes to say.

I have never thought that billie avoided the media. I think she avoids speaking truthfully about the night & following day after her daughter was "disappeared".
I'm glad grandma connie got to share more of her love for her grandaughter. Imo, the story about the cake was to let us all know a little bit re: the dynamics of the relationships w/ the people in Hailey's life. I feel bad that Hailey's mother chose that type of 16 yr old mentality as her live in boyfriend, someone who took part in Hailey's daily life. annoying brother is one thing. "adult" male in role of "caregiver" is another. You just don't do that to a kid on their birthday. I'm a grown woman and would've been mad my bday cake was eaten before I said so. I've got a thing about bdays being the only day a year all for you, your day, your food, your cake.
I'd like to hear billie say " you know I really got on him about eating that cake and made them bake another one for her right then & there" jmo

I have many friends who are friends with Connie Jones. Some were with her the n ight those bones were found and remained with her for some days. Another two spent the night of Haileys birthday with her. I can assure you that these people who have spent considerable time with her all believe her to be totallly trustworthy and full of love for Hailey and SHE is the only who remains where she lived at the time of Haileys disappearance. She has had the opportunity to move because of illness but..remains where Hailey knows where to find her.

Connie has shown nothing but love for Hailey. You say you dont hear stories from other people in Haileys life but how many have you heard speak in great detail about Shawn? I do know Billie isnt so complimentary about him any more Incidentally he was posting on a Hailey page the other day and it was ALL about him. Not once did he wish Hailey a happy Birthday on any the page...nice man NOT.

Actually no he did a interview with out Billie. Was on Bring them Home i think. As for Clint he wasnt in the background to start with in this case thats for sure. He was the one travelling miles and pounding the pavements. Clint has his own issues at the moment which is why hes not in the public eye and i hope he sorts them out. Personally i wouldnt say he and Shawn are in the least alike.

As time goes by memories get muddled. As for the boys eating her birthday cake, I have not had a chance to hear the story but, sounds like boys to me.

Honestly, I do not think any of the adults being discussed are responsible for Hailey going missing. She must have had a bad influence in her life at that time. No matter how or who she left with... there must be an adult involved. And more than likely it is not her mom, mom's immature exboyfriend, grandma, dad, etc...

The local cops probably have some very good leads but, without the resources to chase all those leads things do not seem to be moving forward. The LE agency that is in charge of the investigation (Colorado City PD) announced at one point, "There are clues that lead us to believe she ran away." I would like to know specifically what those clues are and where exactly we need to be looking.
