I have been called for jury duty several times in multiple states and chosen as a juror only once. For a dog bite case - two days.
We got a bag sandwich lunch.
Basically I sat bored in the jury pool room and not released until 4:45pm each day.
Pay was $12/day. Think it increased to $20.
I always wished I had been chosen for a trial.

We got lovely plated deli sandwiches and got $130 a day. One of the other jurors was a young apprentice hairdresser and she was chuffed. That was more than half of what she normally was paid for a week.

Texas doesn’t pay much.
Petit jurors will be reimbursed $6.00 for the first day of jury service; Grand jurors $10.00 for the first day; $40.00 for each subsequent day of jury service.
