Bloodied man, 75, is charged with murder after he 'burst into ex-wife's home and shot her dead' | Daily Mail Online
A woman shot dead by her ex-husband was tracking the man's whereabouts moments before he barged into her home and killed her.
James C. Taylor, 75, was arrested Sunday in Fairfield, Connecticut, and charged with murdering his ex-wife Catherine Taylor, 70, in her home.
Police say that an armed James burst into the home his ex-wife shared with his stepson at about 9.23pm on Sunday night.
Moments before the murder, police say Catherine was using an IPad app that showed James' real-time location as a precaution after she filed a police report two days prior claiming he had stolen two pickup trucks from her.
The stepson told police that he heard breaking glass in the home on Sunday night, and was in the midst of calling 911 when he heard gunshots.
He said he rushed to see what was happening and got into a struggle with James Taylor, who was visibly injured in his booking mugshot.
'The son was fighting for his life,' Kalamaras told WTIC-TV.
James C. Taylor is charged with murder, attempted murder, home invasion, first-degree burglary, third-degree assault, and illegal discharge of a firearm.
He is being held at the Bridgeport Correctional Center on a $2,000,000 bond. It was not immediately clear whether he had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
