Newtown man pleads guilty to producing child porn

A 29-year-old Newtown man pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday to filming himself molesting a 4-year-old girl and stashing the footage on his home computer.
Edward Wilson admitted in U.S. District Court in Hartford to a charge of producing child pornography, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
He could face up to 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine at a May 1 sentencing, officials said.
Wilson was arrested in April 2012 after Newtown and state police found more than 270 photos and 34 videos on his computer depicting boys and girls under the age of 16 engaging in sexual activity with other children or with adults, court records show.
