Couldn't find a thread for her. Lamika is the daughter of Barbara Manners, who was found murdered in 1985 and was ID'd very recently. DLC is listed as May 18 1985 but I think that's just based on when Barbara was found as the circumstances just list it as sometime in 1985.

Same here. I am assuming this is her - Heyward and Manners are both last names involved. I did also find records for a Barbara J. Heyward with a different DOB year.

The fact that her mother disappeared around the same time and was found dead is making me think that Lamika may have met the same fate... so sad.

Firefighters were called to a wooded area off I-95 late Saturday (5/18/85) for a fire. The fire was actually a female body burning which we now know was Barbara Manners.

Details of Disappearance​

Lamika and her mother, Barbara Heyward Manners, were last seen by family members in Brooklyn, New York in May 1985. They were never seen or heard from again after that month.

On May 18, 1985, the body of an unidentified woman was found by the westbound side of Interstate 95 near Exit 18 in Westport, Connecticut. The hands and feet had been removed and the body placed in a pile of burning tires. In November 2024, the body was identified as Barbara's. There has been no indication of Lamika's whereabouts and her disappearance remains unsolved.

I feel like this crime was committed by someone Lamika and her mother knew well, not a stranger, but just speculation.
