That Fox61 article describes Leah as being 3’6″, weighing 50 pounds. The WTNH article has her as 5'0", weighing 50 pounds. No description of the mom.

Silver Alert Called Off After Confusion Over Missing Connecticut Girl

It seems to have been an issue of confusion, as family members thought that Leah was with her mom, Jaimee Hutton. Family members couldn’t reach the mom, so to be safe they contacted police, and then the police issued the Silver Alert through the overnight.

Leah’s mom, Jaimee forgot her cell phone, and she returned home with her daughter much later than the family anticipated, the police stated.
