This seems to be the "religious medallion". I can't read it.

"Weapon found with him is an old Stevens Arms rusted 16 gauge double barrel shotgun There is a goose flying over weeds on the logo no serial number"

My guess is suicide? Wonder if there's DNA available and they just don't want to exhume? :( And where is the recon? Why does CT hate recons?

"Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary" on the 1st side. "Whosoever dies wearing this scapular shall not suffer eternal fire" on the 2nd side of the scapular.

Scapular - must have been Catholic. Could that be a clue? There probably aren't many black Catholics in the US.

It says, "Sacred hearts of Jesus and Mary, protect us." Based on the messaging on the scapular, it seems like it was either a suicide OR someone set it up to look like a suicide. But based on extensive viewing of "Forensic Files," I think it's really hard to commit suicide with a rifle like that because it's tough to be able to pull the trigger at the correct angle.

Thoughts on the knee length lab coat? School? Work? Was this ever a fashion trend? I don't remember it but that means nothing. It seems like an odd choice of clothing for a suicide. Sounds like extra material to get in the way of what I would imagine an already difficult task with the weapon.

I don't think I've ever seen a short-sleeved lab coat, sounds odd...wish we had photos of the clothes.

No obvious recent additions to Doe Network or Namus. No ruleouts listed and there is no DNA according to the initial report, so I'm guessing any comparison ruleouts would be manual and have been entered in Namus. I checked the records for all the MPs suggested above, earlier in the thread. None show a comparison against this UID.

Olga G Waldron

Olga G Waldron missing from New London, CT. Last seen wearing a blue coat, but other clothing doesn't match.
Previously attempted suicide, and the height matches up as well.

Auto repair or parts store employees often wear what could be described as "lab coats". Possibly he was a mechanic or technician.

The shotgun appears to have been exposed to the weather elements for some time. 16 Guage is - and was by the 1990's - almost obsolete. Shotguns were no longer made in that clambering, and ammo was hard to find.

If this was a suicide. There would be a fired shotgun shell in one of the shotgun's two chambers, as this type does not automatically eject shell casings. Also, massive damage to the skull or body would be evident.

The fact that thxe shotgun had no serial number is an indication that it was manufactured prior to 1968.
