I didn't see a thread for this UID, but I'm sorry if it's a duplicate!

PDF by Norwalk PD: http://www.norwalkct.org/DocumentCenter/View/4946

CASE: 73-25064

CASE TYPE: Unidentified Male Body

DATE: 7-27-1973

LOCATION: Charles Creek

VICTIM: Unidentified White Male, 30-35 years of age, 5’10’’, 175lbs, reddish-brown hair. Male was wearing a Cranbury colored “Grooves” brand pull over shirt-size medium; “Levis” brand gray trousers; size 30 Fruit of the Loom underpants. No jewelry or other personal paperwork.

SUMMARY: On July 27th, 1973 at 6:50am, a passerby in the area of the Rex Marine Yacht Club docks in Charles Creek off of Beach Road observed a white male floating in the water face down. The body was taken to the Norwalk Hospital Morgue where an Autopsy was performed at a later date. Due to a state of decomposition, no facial identification would be possible. The autopsy estimated that the date of death would be sometime between July 20th and July 23rd, 1973 based upon decomposition. Recently, the dental chart that was completed at autopsy in 1973 has been coded into NCIC. The partial fingerprints of the male were restored by the FBI in 1973 and recently searched through the IAFIS fingerprint system with no matches.

NamUs lists John Doe as 30-40, the above PDF as 30-35. Denials are in NamUs, fingerprints "available elsewhere". Surprisingly, no DNA, and no recon.

Fingerprints have been put in the system for this John Doe, I just got the email.

Also, a new exclusion (one I suggested myself):

Warren Niederfringer 1948 Connecticut
https://www.findthemissing.org/en/cases/23570/8

Kind of sad it isn't him, back to the drawing board I guess.

I also recently talked to this detective. He doesn't want to exhume for DNA. So I guess fingerprints and dentals are all we got.

OT:

My tonsils were removed in Norwalk Hospital in 1969.

Mitchel Weiser?

Mitchel & Bonnie

NY - NY - Mitchel Weiser, 16, & Bonita Bickwit, 15, Narrowsburg, 27 July 1973

Tight timeframe, for sure, but -- he's missing on July 27, 1973.

JMHO YMMV LRR
Interesting possibility! I think the only way for it to work is if someone got the date of disappearance wrong for Mitchel. It seems pretty solid, but lord knows we’ve seen bigger mistakes in reported information.

I’d like to think Bonnie and Mitchel ran off and lived a happy life someplace. It beats the alternative.

Subscribing with a re post, this poor soul has been uid for so long now, maybe suggest to Othram?
rbbm.
''NORWALK, CT - On July 27, 1973, an unidentified man was discovered floating face down in Charles Creek in Norwalk, and now nearly 43 years later the police department is seeking the public's help in closing the cold case.
The man was described as a white male between the ages of 30 and 35, 5’10’’ tall, 175 pound and with reddish-brown hair.
"Male was wearing a Cranbury colored 'Grooves' brand pull over shirt-size medium; 'Levis' brand gray trousers; size 30, Fruit of the Loom underpants. No jewelry or other personal paperwork," stated Lt. Art Weisgerber.

A passerby discovered the body at 6:50 a.m., "in the area of the Rex Marine Yacht Club docks in Charles Creek off of Beach Road." observed a white male floating in the water face down.
The body was transported to the Norwalk Hospital Morgue, and an autopsy was performed, but due to the state of decomposition, facial identification was not possible. However, the decomposition aided medical officials who performed the autopsy in estimating that the date of death was sometime between July 20 and July 23, 1973.''

This caught my eye, still looking for a link with more details (height/weight ect)to start a thread for the mp, and to compare to this uid.
2013 rbbm.
''CLAYTON, N.Y. (AP) — Shipwreck hunters say they've found the sunken houseboat of a northern New York businessman who disappeared during a trip on Lake Ontario 40 years ago.''

The men say the registration number matches that of a houseboat that disappeared in September 1973. Paul "Preston" Zerwas vanished while delivering the vessel from Clayton, on the St. Lawrence River in Jefferson County, to Oswego to trade it for another boat.

The president of a Clayton shipyard was 32 when he disappeared. His body was never found.''
