Perrie Mason is described as an African-American female with a light complexion. Mason is four feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police said there is no description on what she was last wearing or her last location.

Also:

Wednesday morning, state and Meriden police were at Perrie's home on West Main Street, which she shared with her fiance, 38-year-old Jason Watson and children.

Police said they had arrested Jason Watson there on Tuesday on domestic violence charges, following an incident between him and Mason that happened last Thursday.

I've been watching the story on this poor woman. It doesn't look good, prayers to her young children.

Same as I was thinking...

I don't know her myself, but one of my coworkers lives in Meriden and knows both her and her fiance. She's been in shock since this story came out.

Watson allegedly choked Mason until she blacked out, an arrest warrant affidavit for Watson obtained by the Hartford Courant said.

Mason had texted Watson pictures of her injuries from the attack he is accused of carrying out on her, the court document said.

“You almost killed me,” Mason wrote to Watson days before she went missing, the Courant said.

Mason moved last year to Connecticut from Hawaii, where she had grown up. She worked as a court monitor recording court proceedings.

SO HEART-WRENCHING
I cannot stand these men that take mothers away from their babies due to unchecked rage, jealousy and ownership.
I wish anyone that showed a hint of violence or abuse went through extensive therapy... this story repeats itself time and time again but how do we prevent this??
Those poor babies. Sending my love to her family and loved ones- I hope they can find peace and hopefully also justice!

RIP Perrie

They've set up a collection to help Perrie's sister with the legal expenses of getting custody of the boys; some $4,400 has already been collected.

This is so heart breaking. I knew this was the probable outcome, but still so sad. I had also read at the link a couple of posts ago, that there will be a vigil for her tomorrow in Meriden. RIP

"Mason’s father said she had escaped an abusive relationship in Hawaii and came to Connecticut for fresh start."

"Watson has a lengthy criminal record and was also charged Wednesday with a violation of probation stemming from a 2010 conviction for sexual assault.

According to the court file, Watson was convicted of second-degree sexual assault and illegal sexual contact on Oct. 5, 2010. The current charge would be his fourth violation of probation related to that case."

"In a separate incident on Nov. 20, 2015, Watson was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, the warrant said. The judge issued a protective order and noted the protected person was his then live-in girlfriend, who was not identified by name. The warrant noted Watson participated in a Family Violence Education program, which included domestic violence counseling."

Body found in Waterbury identified as missing Meriden woman

Poor woman. She came here from Hawaii for a fresh start after an abusive relationship. Now she's dead at the hands of yet another abusive man. I feel terrible for her children and family.

“Look at her pictures, they describe her perfectly. She was a beautiful soul, always smiling,” said Mason’s sister Voa Horlback.

Mason’s family flew in from all over the country when the 31-year-old went missing.

Her sister says justice for Perrie right now means getting her boys back into the loving arms of family. “I know case workers are doing their job and I appreciate them for that, but at this time the kids need to be with their family.”

Mason’s sons are currently in state custody, as Horlback fights to get them into her care, a process she’s told could take up to six months. “They ask me every day do we get to stay with you today, do we get to stay with you today? I’m glad that they let them come out for their mother’s vigil,” she said.

At the vigil, Meriden’s mayor vowed to make some calls to try and help. “It’s gut wrenching and I said it, we grieve as a community,” said Mayor Kevin Scarpati.

Vigil organizers didn’t know Perrie, but they want to show her family Meriden cares and that there are resources out there for those suffering from domestic violence.

“Don’t suffer in silence and don’t let your kids go through it because at the end of the day now, you know, her kids lost a mother and his kids lost a father because he’s in jail,” said organizer Ashley Ramos, a domestic violence survivor herself.

Only in the past three or four days have I actually been able to talk without shedding tears, but I think I talked to her here often and sometimes she tells me jokes,” said Devictor Mason, Perrie’s father.

Those words came from a father who said he will never forget his daughter, 31-year old Perrie Mason.

“Perrie was my favorite. I liked her. She was kind of like on my wavelength. Maybe I shouldn't say this but three kids at home - I never had to raise my voice to Perrie,” added Devictor Mason.

“Domestic violence is very real. No matter who the person is, no matter where it is, but it's very ... a lot of people are affected by it and a lot of people are silent. people that don't come out and don't speak on it,” said Derrika James of Meriden.
