GROTON, CT — Police have issued a silver alert for a teen missing from Groton since Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately.

Police describe Zachary Sostka, 16, as an Asian male with brown hair and eyes. He is approximately 5 feet and 10 inches tall, and weighs approximately 170 pounds, according to police.

Police said he was last seen wearing a blue hooded winter jacket, khaki pants and white shoes. No photo was available, police said.

Sadly, he was found by LE, who apprehended Zachary for his role in a Rhode Island robbery. He was indicted on Feb 6, 2019 by a Rhode Island grand jury:

A Groton teenager, Zachary Sostak, waived his right to juvenile court proceedings and has been indicted by a Rhode Island grand jury for his alleged role in robberies in Hopkinton and West Warwick last year. . .

The two juveniles and Sostak were referred to Rhode Island Juvenile Court, but Sostak challenged the charges and waived his right to a hearing as a juvenile, leading to the indictment. Officials confirmed that he will be tried as an adult.

Sostak is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 22 in Kent County Superior Court.
