Daisja was last seen in Dallas, Texas on June 10, 2009. Her mother, Tamaira Creagh, said she was kidnapped from their apartment by an unknown man around 11:40 pm.
Daisja's parents gave conflicting statements about what happened. As a result, an AMBER Alert wasn't issued for 12 hours. On June 15, Daisja's father Alandus Weaver was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence. Daisja's mother was later arrested for the same.
It is believed that Alandus murdered Daisja, and later threw her body off the I-35 bridge into Lewisville Lake. He was charged and convicted of capital murder. Several searches have been made to find Daisja's body, but she remains missing.
