ISTR that there was a thread about him, but I can't find it now. He was on his bike, and went missing and was found in a wooded ravine 3 days later. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition, with numerous injuries, pneumonia, and multiple organ failure.

Two weeks later, he woke up and asked for a Coke from McDonald's.

Another article.

It’s not something I can really discuss, as the detectives need to be involved because everything is not as it seemed,” she (the Mom) said.

When Cody was found, no foul play was suspected. FOX 2 requested an update from the sheriff’s office on Tuesday, but they did not respond.

He's been discharged from the hospital, and transferred to a pediatric rehab facility in the St. Louis area. Today's Facebook had a picture of him playing air hockey. :)

I forgot to mention that he started school right on time with his classmates, a few weeks ago. He's still getting therapy and will for some time to come.

So why was he in a ravine for 3 days? Was he injured from a bike wreck? Was he unconscious all that time? Just wondering why he couldn't get out or call for help or anything. Do we know what his mom meant by "everything is not what it seems"?

I saw that comment earlier, and haven't seen any updates about it in the meantime.

Maybe the mom thought his friends saw him go into the woods, and didn't go looking for him, that kind of thing?

This story showed up on my Facebook wall, a tribute to the K-9 cops.
