I'm assuming the Dallas zoo is a fairly good-sized zoo considering the size of Dallas itself, and with a setting that large you would think that they would have more-than-adequate security/surveillance. I agree that insider job is a valid theory because there is no mention of the incidents being caught on camera or triggering any sort of alarm or security response.

And if it's not an insider job, then shame on this zoo for not having better security measures. Zoos justify their existence by claiming they are engaged in species preservation and public education, so for them to not have effective security to protect the animals they are there to preserve is unacceptable.

I very much doubt someone besides it's trainer could control this kind of animal (leopard) to remove it from it's habitat.
I think an opening was made and the animal found it's way out.

I do not think they are doing a very good job at patrolling the zoo if a 4th incident occurred. The previous monkey enclosure had been cut but none escaped that leads me to believe they made the opening but did not remove the monkeys at that time.

In this most recent event I believe someone did the same by making the hole and the monkeys escaped on their own.
I do not think someone has them.

What a majestic cat! Obviously whoever did this did not think of her safety.

I could be wrong on the animal theft vs. escape. A local news report stated that DPD thinks that since these type of primates stay close to home and the fact they have not been found, that they might have been stolen as opposed to released.
