Daniel McKenzie, 23, went missing near the Quebec border in 1981 and no sign of him has ever been found

"On July 31, 1981, Daniel McKenzie, his wife and a few friends and relatives were in a taxi travelling between Schefferville, Que., and the Labrador-Quebec border when a disagreement broke out. The cab pulled over and the 23-year-old community youth worker hopped out of the vehicle.
The disagreement continued outside the vehicle and McKenzie went off into the bush, saying he would be back.
When he didn’t return, they went looking for him, spending hours searching before returning to Schefferville. A search was organized, and a large group of people spent weeks looking for the young man, but he was never found."
