Sadly the weather has made the search and rescue conditions very difficult.
Officers and expert Mountain Rescue Teams and the RAF searching for missing person David Brookfield (65), have suspended their searches for the day in Snowdonia.

Chief Inspector Jon Aspinall said: “Our colleagues have been undertaking a systematic search of various areas around Eryri since Wednesday. Due to the deteriorating weather, our search will recommence in the morning via drones and helicopter if the conditions allow.

“I would urge any well meaning members of the walking and climbing community to refrain from trying to help, as local conditions are extremely hazardous.

“We expect the next few days to see the weather deteriorating significantly, and it is highly unlikely that any expert searches will be possible on foot.”

David was last seen on Tuesday 9th of January in the Eryri area. His family are being kept informed and supported by specialist officers.

David is still missing. Another re appeal from North Wales Police with a pic of David back pack which is still missing.

We continue to search for David, 65, who has been missing from the Carneddau area of Eryri (Snowdonia) since January 9th.
Multi-agency searches have been ongoing following his disappearance, but David has not yet been found.

Chief Inspector David Cust said: “I’d like to thank partner agencies and the wider community for their support and assistance in searching for David, which are ongoing as weather conditions allow.

“I am appealing to anyone who has been out walking in the area and may have come across a large backpack, as seen in the image below, to contact us.

“We continue to support David’s family at this difficult time.”

Anyone who may have seen David, or any of the items described since his disappearance, are asked to contact us via our website or by calling 101, quoting reference Q004447.https://www.facebook.com/100064844946310/posts/pfbid0YNrJn3hD2oNQUZ8Wkk2G95BvA2JwXTLiiLMGvDw6mfqRxwCSAecapHR7BwcPLJa8l/?

This really is mysterious. People shud not be disappearing doing mountain walk’s in Wales. If David had fallen him or at least his back pack shud of been located.

It's so sad to me that the article upthread says that he had "recently retired and was looking forward to his retirement going on adventures in his campervan". I imagine he had plenty of plans and his photos look like he was healthy enough to be able to do that for many a year.

I'm praying for a miracle for him, and that somehow he'll be able to go on some of those adventures.
