According to police, Hassan Lancaster was last around 3:45 p.m. in the 2600 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue on Friday.

Police released the following description of the teen:

'Hassan Lancaster is described as a black male, with a dark complexion, 5’0 in height, 160 pounds, brown eyes and black hair. Hassan was last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, blue sweatpants, a white t-shirt, and black boots."

Is Hassan trans? The article and link state that DC police are looking for a girl:

but the poster states Hassan is male.

From the photo, my first thought was that Hassan presents as female.

I hope this gets clarified.

I think Hassan is male and the reporter who wrote the headline failed to read the police press release which states "male". The reporter likely saw the long hair and assumed girl. JMO. Hassan is usually a male name. It is Arabic and means "Handsome".
