WASHINGTON (TCD) -- Police arrested a 19-year-old male following a months-long investigation relating to the shooting death of a 10-year-old girl.
Metropolitan D.C. Police announced Monday, Sept. 18, that Koran Gregory was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder while armed in connection with Arianna Davis' killing.
On May 14 — Mother’s Day — police were called to the 3700 block of Hayes Street NE after receiving reports about shots fired. Responding officers didn’t see any victims at the scene but then learned a 10-year-old had been taken to a local fire station for assistance. She was taken to a hospital in "grave condition," and died three days later.
According to police, Davis was in the car with her family when a bullet struck her.
