WILMINGTON, D.E. - Police are joining family members in the search for a missing man who was last seen leaving a relative’s birthday party Saturday in Wilmington.

Bobby Pipkin, 42 was last seen leaving a family member’s 70th birthday party on South Van Buren and Chestnut Streets at approximately 1 A.M. on Saturday, November 25.

Given he left at 1 a.m. I was concerned about any alcohol use before driving that late. In doing a search with his first middle and last name as found on the missing poster for him, I found a DUI arrest for a Bobby (legal name not nickname) Loran Pipkin of the correct age from Pennsylvania a few years ago. I found Bobby L. Pipkin as an inmate in August 2020 but the sheet doesn't indicate charges. Given his history, I'm worried he had an accident on the way home while possibly impaired.

MSM confirmation that he was found deceased. He had a car accident, and the car was found in a creek. It was in an area where there have been several fatal and non-fatal crashes.

Police say the crash happened sometime between Nov. 25 and Dec. 6.

Investigators believe pipkin was driving his Mitsubishi Outlander westbound on Lancaster Pike near Hercules Road when, for an unknown reason, his vehicle crossed over the eastbound lane and crashed into a guardrail.
