Delaware State Police have issued a gold alert for Lewes resident Janna C. Ruiz, 38, who has not been seen or heard from since Saturday afternoon.
Ruiz was last seen near the 23000 block of Elmwood Avenue West near Angola around 2:30 p.m., Sept. 23, police said, and attempts to locate or contact her have been unsuccessful.
Ruiz is described as a white woman, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, and has brown hair and green eyes.
Police said there is a real concern for her safety and welfare.
Anyone with information regarding Ruizs whereabouts is asked to call Troop 7 at 302-644-5020 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333. Information also can be shared online at www.delaware.crimestoppersweb.com or by sending an anonymous tip by texting 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword DSP.
