GOLD ALERT ISSUED FOR MISSING NEWARK WOMAN-LEA SLOAN​

(Newark, DE 19711) The New Castle County Division of Police has issued a Gold Alert for 40-year-old Lea Cecilia Sloan of Newark, in coordination with the Wilmington Police Department. Lea was last seen on Tuesday, May 13 around 3:00 a.m. in the 500 block of W. 14th Street in the City of Wilmington and all attempts to locate her have been unsuccessful. There is a concern for her welfare and safety.

Lea is described a white female, 5’6″, 140lbs., brown eyes, and blonde hair. Lea was last seen wearing a beige shirt, loose beige pants, and brown clogs.

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Lea Ceclia Sloan to contact the Wilmington Police Department by dialing 911, the non-emergency number (302) 654-5151, attention Sgt. Mullin.

Lea Cecilia Sloan was last seen in the early morning hours of May 13 at ChristianaCare’s Wilmington Hospital on West 14th Street in Wilmington.

Sloan did not appear for a protection-from-abuse court hearing that she initiated, and she does not have her phone or car with her.
 
Here's her FB, no posts since 2024, shows her as divorced (but that could have changed since last year). Has her working at an endoscopy center so if she's in the health profession I wonder if the sighting at the hospital was work related or she was a patient there.

What is worrisome is the "gold alert" for her. In Deleware that means she's either disabled, a senior citizen, a child, or suicidal. (sections 4,5,6, or 7 or the code).
