Circumstances of Disappearance
The Dover Police Department is seeking information related to the disappearance of Marvin Odom, who was 21 years old at the time he was last seen. In October of 2023, Detectives with the Dover Police Department assigned to the First State Fugitive Task began looking into active wanted persons in Delaware. During a follow-up investigation, contact was made with Mr. Odom’s family. It was revealed by the family, that Mr. Odom has not been seen or heard from since a 1995 court case. Detectives are actively seeking information related to his disappearance or information on his whereabouts.

Dover Police Department sent out a press release seeing more information in September '24, and he was entered into NamUs in December '24. I wonder if he might be a John Doe somewhere?

Seeing as Marvin never contacted his family since 1995, I thought I might look into some John Does in the area. I found one that might match, so I sent in a tip that Marvin might be NamUs #UP1417.

The John Doe was found in the Baltimore Maryland Harbour in April of 1995.

Marvin is 5'11, and John Doe is 6'0. (1 inch difference)
Marvin is approx 155 pounds, and John Doe is 154 pounds (1 pound difference)
Marvin was last seen in Dover and John Doe was found in Baltimore (1 hour and 20 mins away)
Marvin was last seen sometime in 1995, John Doe was found in April 1995.

Can anyone find any info on the court case police are referring to? If it was sometime AFTER April '95, than maybe this John Doe doesn't actually fit.

Nevertheless, I sent the tip in anyways.
