This appears to have been done by an intoxicated Spring Breaker, and he looks quite wasted in the booking photo, with pinpoint pupils among other things. Allen's main injury appears to have been a concussion, from hitting his head on the sidewalk.

Heard about this story, and it makes me sick. This rich, entitled little punk assaulted a one-armed man & then also assaulted a woman who was trying to help. Scum-bag.

Punks like this need to be prosecuted harshly. But, this piece of excrement has already been bailed out of jail by his rich mommy & daddy. Typical. If there were any justice in this world, this punk would be doing hard time.

It's also worth noting that if the one-armed man that was assaulted wasn't the drummer for iconic rock band Def Leppard, this story would probably not have even made the news. Glad that it did, however - and that this criminal's face is plastered everywhere.

Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen attacked outside Florida hotel

Def Leppard's drummer, Rick Allen, was hurt in what appeared to be an unprovoked attack outside of a hotel in Florida.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WPTV) — Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen was injured in a seemingly unprovoked attack Monday near the valet section of the Four Seasons hotel in Fort Lauderdale.

Max Hartley, 19, of Avon, Ohio, was arrested on a charge of abuse to an elderly or disabled adult, according to a Fort Lauderdale police report.

According to the report, the victim was smoking a cigarette outside the hotel when Hartley, who was hiding behind a pole, charged at him, knocking him to the ground and injuring his head.

Although the victim’s identity was redacted in the report, it states the victim “lost his left arm in a traffic accident in 1984.”

Allen, whose left arm was amputated after a Christmas Eve crash in 1984, was in South Florida for a concert with Def Leppard and Motley Crue the night before at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood.

According to the report, Hartley also attacked a woman who tried to help the victim before getting away.

Police said Hartley was arrested a short distance away after he was seen damaging numerous vehicles in the parking garage of another hotel.
