Donald's nickname is Don. He was carrying a backpack with the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch logo on it.
Donald was last seen at home in Dickson City, Pennsylvania on March 6, 1981. He was a chronic runaway and had spent time at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, a residential treatment center for troubled children in Billings, Montana. Several times he ran away attempting to get to his sister in Wyoming. It's possible he ran away again when he disappeared in 1981. He has ties to Montana, Wyoming, and New Jersey. Even though Donald was last seen in 1981, law enforcement refused to take a report at the time and did not do so until 2013.
