Driver blames dog for speeding

23-year-old driver Jordan Winn of County Durham, UK, blamed his Staffordshire Bull Terrier sitting on the gas pedal, when he led police on a 100mph chase. In court, he explained the dog got caught in the footwell, and was also to blame for him swerving to avoid another vehicle, when it changed position and sat on the brake.

The judge gave Winn's claims the credibility they deserved - he called them ludicrous and slapped Winn with a 13-month jail sentence, along with a three-year driving ban.
