Toronto police have released images of a suspect vehicle wanted in connection with a firearm investigation. (Toronto Police Service handout)

According to police, at around 4 p.m. on May 30, a man was seen driving a white, four-door Mercedes Benz C class car in the area of Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue.

Police say the driver was travelling quickly through a residential area and a man and woman asked him to slow down.

"The man allegedly produced a handgun and made threats while pointing the gun at the pair.

He then headed south on Yonge Street, police say.

The suspect has been described by investigators as a black male in his 20s with a medium build and short black hair. Police say he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Investigators are asking members of the public not to approach the man but to call 911 immediately if he is spotted."

Hope they have a partial plate/full plate number??

Thought they had 'great' cameras through that stretch of Yonge at every light?

Schools in that very busy area might have had many students milling about at 4.pm when the alleged incident occurred, it is understandable that he was asked to slow down.
Dangerous individual, wonder if he was driving his own car or if it was borrowed?
imo, speculation.

Having been out that way recently, I don't see how its possible to speed through there. I must go at the wrong time. lol

My guess, 'borrowed'. ;)

Unsure if i am seeing correctly in these large pics shown at LE site, but in one - the sun roof appears to be closed, yet open in the other photo, someone seems to be in the backseat area, and something looks curled up at the car's front license?
speculation, imo.

The Toronto Police Service requests the public's assistance locating a man wanted in a firearm investigation.

On Thursday, May 30, 2019, at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to a call for a person with a gun in the Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue area.

It is reported that:

- a man was driving a white four-door Mercedes Benz C class car

- he was travelling quickly through a residential area

- he was asked to slow down by a man and woman

- he produced a handgun and made threats while pointing it at them

- he drove south on Yonge Street

He is described as black, in his 20s, medium build, with short black hair.

Photographs of the car are released.

He is considered armed and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
