Drunken badger found on Polish beach is sleeping it off

An unconscious badger that was found on a beach at Rewal in Poland surrounded by seven empty beer bottles, is recovering at an animal shelter.

The badger is thought to have stolen the beer from beachgoers and opened them with its teeth. It was unconscious for two days in the shelter and still can't sit up, but has been eating a little chicken and drinking lots of water.

I don't think they did LadyL. If Poland's anything like neighbor Germany, they lug crates of beer around like pocketbooks in summer. (Leave the bottles everywhere too, as a 'charitable act' for poor people because they have pfant - cents - back on them too. Very bad when they break and animals get impaled. )

I can't imagine anyone forcefeeding/drinking a badger without thick, protective clothing. A person would get clawed to bits. Those little guys are strong.
