"Maria Menounos announced on Monday she was leaving E! and E! News after revealing a recent health scare involving a golf-ball-sized tumor that was found in her brain.

Menounos, 39, broke the news regarding her departure from the entertainment network after three years in the anchor's chair on the same day People Magazine published an exclusive interview with her discussing her frightening diagnosis."

Wow. Can't blame her for wanting to take a good look at what she wants to be doing with her life at this point.

I have a friend who had to get an MRI for something else and a benign brain tumor was picked up on that scan. It was still small enough not to have caused symptoms. She had it removed in a 2 1/2 hour surgery. That was about 7 years ago and she is fine.
