So their triplet/sister had a premonition that "something bad" had happened to them. I would speculate that when she last spoke to them, when they had already made plans to leave, her spider sense picked up that some something wasn't quite right. Ie something was slightly different in their speech patterns, etc.
Nah, I think if it that was the case it would help give a direction. I am best friends with identical twins since I was 14 and I am the only one to this day that could tell them apart, voices on the phone, mannerisms and read what they weren't communicating, they call me their 'triplet'. So, for instance, I will be calling one of them and it's busy because they are calling me, and that's sort of the twins, triplet, connection. But, some will say, I had a horrible feeling and know something is wrong before even knowing it, or picking up on any speech pattern, it's like instinct without anything concrete. Do I believe it? No. But, I'm not a biological twin or triplet but think some are just more emphatic than others.

Has anyone else noticed that the women don't seem to be happy in any of the pics we've seen? They mostly appear to be smiling with their mouths, but not their eyes. Like a small grin just because some says "smile" and points a camera at them. Perhaps they are real introverts and quite reserved, but even the pic of them on a night out at what appears to be a bar/club doesn't appear to show true happiness or enjoyment.
Quoting myself, because why not?
There are a couple of pics with family, where they appear happier. Not sure if they were in Hungary, Scotland or elsewhere. The pic with their brother dressed in a kilt, they appear truly happy. Sure, it could just be because their doofus brother looks silly dressed as a Scot, but maybe not.

Then there's one at what looks like a zoo. There seems to be happiness behind the eyes. Maybe because she's having a fun day out, maybe because she's with family.

However, looking at the pic of the triplets with their mother, they do both appear to be more reserved here. Could be happy, could be posing, I'm not sure which. Looking at Edit and the mother, they both also have a similar look/smile. Perhaps it's a cultural thing, perhaps they were more reserved around their mother, or perhaps I'm reading too much into it all.

In reference to triplet Edit’s premonition- it could have come to her in a dream.
I had a dream about a friend (not a close friend) but a very vivid dream that she was in a fight with someone.
In the morning I told my boyfriend that I had the strangest dream. A few hours later I came to find out that terrible harm came to my friend the night before.
I think there are some things that are simply inexplicable.
I haven’t really allowed myself to dream after that instance.
The premonition will haunt poor Edit no matter what the outcome here is.
She will likely take it on herself to investigate/ follow up regarding what happened.
She must be very distraught- as the whole family certainly is.
Edit is going to feel this loss of her sisters very deeply and profoundly.
My heart really goes out to Edit and to the whole family.
This case is a really strange one.

Two things I want to bring up in reference to previous posts and all imho

1) I don’t think that the sisters were sending any money home or supporting anyone other than themselves. Hungary is not a poor country. I have traveled there often and extensively and all the family photos I have seen of the Huszti clan look very normal/ regular and decidedly “middle class” based on several families I know who live in Budapest/ Hungary. They look like a very normal/ regular loving Hungarian family.

2) CCTV shows the girls leaving their flat to go on their fateful walk. We don’t know that they weren’t out earlier in the evening and came home just to grab something or leave a phone to charge before walking out of their flat. Just mentioning as it’s possible that they were out socializing before returning home for a while then going back out.

I agree with you that they may have been out socializing earlier in the evening, otherwise why were they "dressed up"?

I disagree that they were dressed up. They wore coats and scarves against the cold, and long pants. Shoes appear to me to be ankle boots and maybe brogues. Not sure what people expect them to be wearing. Track pants, pyjamas, no coats, slippers? I'd wear something like that if I went out in that weather. Unless they had reason to wear formal clothes, a uniform etc. it seems like something they'd wear to head out for snacks, leave fairly quickly etc.

A thought came to me - any chance they may have been heading for a hospital or 24 hour clinic in the area? Although why they wouldn't call a taxi/Uber I'm not sure. I assume one would be available at that time and location?

The hospital with A&E is completely the other direction from their flat. It’s approx 25 min walk the other way. I am convinced they would know that.

For me it's a sort of smart casual look. It looks like they've made a bit an of an effort. If they were wildlife enthusiasts or fond of late night walks etc and given the weather I might expect to see padded coats, bobble hats and so on. Somewhat more casual if you like. It's the look of not formal but not wanting to appear too casual or scruffy as if they were going somewhere where that was appropriate. Perhaps some sort of meeting. I'm meeting some friends for a walk today. We'll all be very casual and wearing walking gear etc. If we were meeting for a meal I wouldn't be dressed up but I would dress smarter than I will today.

I guess we'd have to know what clothes they usually wore. We've only seen a few pics, but in none of them do they appear scruffy. Jeans and t-shirts, shorts and t-shirts, regular clothing to me. Nothing overly modest, nothing risque.

I read in an online newspaper article that the twin that worked at Costa Coffee, Eliza I think. had finished work at 1pm on Monday and had then gone on two weeks leave.
Apologies as I have been unable to find the article again to link to it.
Been wondering if they'd told their jobs they were quitting or leaving town, moving away, or whatever. So if this is true, would it mean anything that they told their landlady they were terminating their tenancy (a permanent action), but just arranged for 2 weeks off from work (temporary action)?

I had posted this pic before that was shared by their brother. Clearly there is snow, but they are wearing padded coats and a hat. The temperature would have been equally low that night, if not colder as it was 2am. In the CCTV I do think they appear ‘smarter’ and look more well presented (as if they were meeting someone??). As others have said, there is no certainty about what you would wear if you had made a decision to intentionally harm yourself - but if I was out at that time for any reason I would probably chose the warmest padded type jacket and a hat.

Yes I'm conscious we know very little about them. One thing that has struck me from the various pictures that have emerged is they look do very different in many of them. All I'd say is that the coats look too nice for any countryside rambling etc. But without knowing more about them it's just a guess. To me it's the look you might see if going to the pub to meet friends or family where its not formal but you want to look "nice". Obviously it wasn't a pub that time of the morning.

One thing that struck me is if you look at their pictures on the top of that article and the ones at the bottom where they are with their brother and dressed in pink I wouldn't have known it was the same people. They look so different. Not just the different hair colour but facially as well.

IF these women wanted to do something like fake their own death, they've done very well. I would question if there is any way possible they could have cut through a part of the industrial area, avoided cameras and entered a car to escape, one bought and left there earlier, left there for them by someone else, or been picked up by someone in a pre arranged plan. The question would be why? Disillusioned with life, running from someone or something, things spiraling out of their control and ashamed to admit they were struggling? Had they been known to want to live elsewhere, like a dream location? Maybe the money they were supposed to be saving was not for a house, but a new life somewhere. The cost of safe passage to wherever they wanted to live?

Or perhaps the scenario above (cutting through the industrial area and not being seen by cameras) but accepted a lift from a "friend" or stranger and are now being held captive, or worse? It would not explain the odd tenancy situation, but maybe a very weird coincidence? (I'm thinking not, just spit balling ideas here)

All MOO only.

I was wondering the same in respect of any possible cut throughs, informal footpaths etc that might be around that wouldn't be picked up by CCTV. Would anyone on here who is local know it that's feasible at all?
