Elizabeth was last seen between 5:20 and 6:00 am on April 30, 2004 at her home in Panama City, Florida. Her husband saw her before he left for work early that morning. When he returned at 4:00 pm, she was gone. There was a wet towel on the floor of the apartment, and $50 was missing, but there were no signs of forced entry or a struggle. Elizabeth had no car, credit cards, or cell phone, and left all of her other belongings behind. She has never been heard from again.
Authorities initially believed Elizabeth left of her own accord, but they now feel that foul play is involved. Her case remains unsolved.
