I looked into Jerry's information via ancestry.com and newspapers.com and it paints a very sad story. He was featured in several articles in The Demoines Register in 1993 in regards to his repeated drunken driving offenses. He wanted to tell his story because "if it helps one person to avoid what I have done to myself, it will be worthwhile".

He was born February 5th, 1942 in Hazleton, Iowa to Cecil and Bessie Everett. He has two brothers. His father died in a boating accident and as a result he says he had a rough childhood.

Was he never buried? I don't know what an unclaimed status is. Maybe it depends on where the death occurs?
