"Everybody reacts differently to grief"

  • #41
Gina_M--I can totally relate--What non-pet owners don't realize is that when a pet dies,it IS almost like a member of the family because this pet is around you all the time at home--especially hard on people like my girlfriend and I since we have no children

LurkerSteve--yes I totally understand why your friend shed many more tears for her cat than her grandmother--My grandmother was a saint who loved me deeply--but the last few years I lived thousands of miles away and saw her only occasionally--on the other hand,a pet is with you all the time--all the time--and when it is not around anymore, it can have devastating effects, not the least of which is extreme grief and subsequent depression

You know, someone mentioned SP's behavior at the vigil and at that particular time Laci was MISSING . Only Scott knew she was dead. It wasn't for four more months that she was confirmed dead. That to me is the HUGE difference in the "grief" scenario of SP.

Garagos started spinning that retro fairytale about how "everybody handles grief differently" regarding SP's lack of concern about Laci's whereabouts from the time she went "missing" to the time of SP's arrest.

He had no grief to handle. JMO
