Of course, it would be the same SSN, just a different name unless something was falsified along the way.

In our state you have to take the marriage license and it took a month for my daughter to get her new ss card with her married name. States to states are for sure different....

I'm no legal expert, but trying to figure out the requirements for a new ID, which she would need to get a new SSN with her new name...be it a married name and Johnson as her maiden, or married with another name as her maiden (like if she had a fake ID), or if she simply stole another person's SSN and used a fake ID with that name.

Has LE released if she had a passport on her? If so, what name was on it? Did she have a DL with a different name? Was it the only thing she had on her with that name?

I think, the most likely way this would have played out in TX, if a marriage took place is
A) She used her Arizona DL, marriage certificate, and court order for change of name (that you can do when you're married) to then get a new SS card (though the SSN would be the same as the maiden name on the other documents).
B) She used a fake TX DL (assuming she had a fake TX DL, I do not know), and was able to obtain a new SSN and card, then eventually could get a passport as well.
C) She used a fake DL (could have been AZ), a marriage cert., and the court order for name change from marriage.
D) She could have used her own birth cert. and court order name change from a marriage.

If she got a new SSN/name, this would have taken time. You have to wait for the govt. to send it to you. So, it would have either been done in AZ, or sent to an address when requested in SA. Where?

She wouldn't even need to get a SS card. If she had another's ID, she could have easily had another's SSN. A DL and SSN is all you need if I'm reading this correctly (assuming she did not take her own birth cert.).

Please correct anything here if I'm wrong, or you know otherwise. I'm thinking out loud and using the websites of Texas Dept of Transportation and Social Security as my guide.

All of my above post to say...basically...if this happened then we NEED to find out who this potential spouse is! Someone she met in SA? Someone else? The HG? Who (if this is at all a possibility)? This girl is smart, internet savvy, and deceitful. I don't put it past her. Her GF said it himself, and he know's EJ better than any of us. He didn't say marriage, but the changing name and SSN.

Ok, just another thought that popped in my head when reading the posts regarding the possibility of a possible marriage with EJ. What if the expensive ruby ring that EJ had on her was a possible wedding/engagement ring? I know that you wouldn't typically think a ruby as a traditional wedding ring, but I thought I read in the ring thread that ruby was EJ's birthstone...

Cat...not a bad thought, but wouldn't you think the batchelor soon too be groom, would have a heads up on her birth date ??? Ah, but maybe he did !I would still like to more about the ring....and the value....By golly, if I had a ring worth as much as has been stated or even a 1/4 of that much, I would haved pawned that baby in before I left SA.! To a young lady, no income, no nothing, $ 7500.00 looks like I struck it rich!

You are so right, anything is possible with EJ. You know, I really believe that EJ cannot deal with being alone, especially when you consider her childhood. I don't think it would be that much of a stretch to imagine EJ finding a companion, she's young, very attractive and manipulative enough to pull off a damsel in distress situation...and what an extra little bonus if the target, uh I mean companion :angel: also happened to have money...IMHO

I researched changing SSNs a year or so ago for something else, like how hard is it to change your number? To have a "real" one that won't trace to another person. Without dragging out all my notes, what I learned (and the calls were actually some of the harder ones I have made for info, the SS was cagey.). In a nutshell, you can't change your SSN. UNLESS, there is abuse. If one can prove abuse, - and this was the issue I had most problems with SS reps being closed mouth about exactly how to prove it -one ended up saying that the various battered woman shelters would know how to do this and the proof one needs. Police reports of abuse and psych reports - she wouldn't say yes these were needed.

So, I am thinking if EJ really wanted new id, not just the one she used at the bus ticket counter and hotel, maybe she sought help though a shelter, claiming abuse - maybe they started this or whatever and she just hadn't had time to get it yet before she got arrested. MOO

I believe for EJ to change her ssn# legally it would have taken her alot of time (lots of red tape). Now illegally it would have taken her 2 seconds. All she would have to do is change a couple of the #s around, maybe reverse a couple #s or maybe she used Gabriel's ssn# if he had one. She could have also looked up a deceased person's ssn and used their #.
