The first known and confirmed Dahmer victim was 18 year old Steven Hicks. He was an 18 year old white male who Dahmer had picked up while hitchhiking. His body has never been found.
But a mere five months before Hicks was murdered, there was a young man who went missing only 24 minutes from where Dahmer was located. Willie Lee Johnson went missing on either January 2oth, 1978 or in early February (Namus has last DOC as 01/20/1984 but the description states that Johnson disappeared in February). He was last seen in the Tropicana Lounge in Akron, Ohio. Like a majority of Dahmer's victims, Johnson was a young black male.
While most of the evidence is circumstantial, I believe the possibility is strong. The bodies of Dahmer's earliest victims were never found, and with Dahmer being dead we may never know.
