Seminole County deputies found two men and a woman dead with apparent gunshot wounds in a home south of Chuluota Friday morning, Sheriff Dennis Lemma said.

“It looks like this wasn’t a random act of violence. It looks like the person responsible for these murders was known to the family, and we’re going to do everything we can to get this person in custody very, very soon,” Lemma said.

Amato, whose listed address is on Sultan Circle, is a registered nurse with an active license and no disciplinary history, according to a state database of medical practitioners.
In June 2018, Amato was arrested on a grand-theft charge at AdventHealth Orlando, where he worked as a nurse. Hospital staff accused him of stealing vials of Propofol, a powerful sedative.
Police were called to the hospital for a report of a suicidal person, but determined Amato didn’t meet the criteria to be held for observation under Florida’s Baker Act, which allows the temporary detention of people deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.
Amato admitted to stealing the drug, saying he gave it to patients who were not “adequately relaxed by doctor-ordered medication,” according to a police report.
The State Attorney’s Office later determined his case was not suitable for prosecution.
