A father and his 5-year-old daughter are being sought by Fort Myers police in connection with a death investigation.

Juan Agustin Ajqui Chach and Ana Ajqui Garcia, 5, were last seen in Fort Myers on Saturday.

About noon Sunday, officers responded to 738 Karlov St., Fort Myers, in reference to a suspicious death. They found a dead male and contacted detectives.

Police provided no other details on the death investigation or why they are searching for the duo.

The two are from Guatemala, and the father possibly works for a landscaping company, police said.

The father's involvement, if any, is unknown at this time, FMPD said. They haven't said if the death is suspicious.

Neighbors said the father and daughter lived with the victim. Two maintenance workers tasked with cleaning their unit said there are blood stains splattered all over the floors, windows and couch bed.

FMPD announced around 6 p.m. that the father and daughter were found safe.

Ita! Blood spatter everywhere is more than suspicious. It sure sounds like a brutal homicide happened to me.

So glad the little girl has been found safe, and I'm glad they found him too.
