The latest sketch by Autumn Krick is perfect, she's a detective at PBSO and did Joy's sketch after I spoke with her. Keep in mind she also had all the death photos and autopsy photos to work from.

The POI you're posting looks nothing like Joy. Eyes too far apart, nose wrong, cheeks wrong. It ain't her. IMO.

Different noses. Way different height. Eyes are similar. But I don't think it could be her.

A few weeks ago, Joy's NamUs page was removed. I reached out to the Boca Raton Police Department and made contact with the detective assigned to the case. She has been identified through BRPD's in house genealogical unit as Susan Haberland. I was not able to get much information, only that she was from out-of-state and not local to the area. She also had a long history of mental illness. The case is closed and I don't know if there will be an official announcement.

Susan Joy Haberland was born on June 21st, 1966, in Wyoming. The last residence I saw for her was in Lake Worth, Florida.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any higher-quality (or more recent) photos than this one, from her high school yearbook in 1983.

There's more than one individual with this name, from at least 2 states... I would be cautious about identifying anyone yet, especially without an age or middle initial. I think at least one of them is alive and well.

The yearbook picture sure does look like the rendering(s). Somehow I am surprised she was 30...thought she was going to be younger for some reason. Interesting that her middle name was Joy...I wonder if that is what she went by. Also interesting that she gave the officer a d.o.b. that was really close to her actual. So sorry that she did not get the help she needed and my condolences to anyone who cared for her. @GatorFL put in alot of work on this case. Great job!

I sent this photo yesterday to @GatorFL , along with several others. This SJH looks exactly like the person in the post-mortem photos. Even her father looks similar. I’m almost certain they’re the same person. MOO JMO
