Wow, saw this on the news last night. The rescuers (police and firefighters) got together and brought all of the children from Braxton and Bri'ya's family Christmas shopping. They all had a wonderful time! Just wish this would happen a lot more often. We are so used to seeing the dark side of humanity here. We needed this. Wanted to share the joy of the season.

"At the same time as the shopping spree, a white box truck showed up at the family’s home. Employees from Ashley HomeStore unloaded bunk beds, sheets, bed spreads and more. A manager received a call from a Mayor Lenny Curry’s office the day prior about an immediate need for help. The company didn’t hesitate to donate.

Firefighters arrived to help assemble the furniture and make the beds."

So the children took shelter in a hunting blind. Several good pictures at link. Clever little ones. The reason that the children remained hospitalized was because they told rescuers they drank water from the ground.

"News4Jax was given exclusive access to private property where the children, ages 5 and 6, were found by rescuers. The shelter was first described as a pump house but turned out to be a hunting blind.

We’ve also learned why the siblings went into the woods in the first place. According to a newly released police report, the children said they went into the woods to look for a treehouse. They told police they stayed there a long time, and no one else was with them."

The so called “pump house” that the lost kids were found in, turns out to be an old hunt blind as found out on a recent trip back into the woods to find the spot they stayed in. #jfrd #foundkids @CityofJax
