**MISSING & ENDANGERED ADULT**

CLAIRE LUSCOMBE (71)

The Baker County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s assistance in locating Claire Luscombe. Luscombe is 71 years of age and was last seen leaving her residence in Glen St. Mary at approximately 2:30 PM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

When she left the residence, Luscombe was driving her red 2017 Ford Explorer with a Florida license plate # 0748YT.

Luscombe suffers from the early stages of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Her cell phone last pinged in Middleburg at approximately 7:30 AM today. Anyone with information regarding Luscombe’s location is asked to contact the Baker County Sheriff’s Office at (904)259-2861 or your local law enforcement agency.

She left Glen St Mary at 2:30 PM on Wednesday June 29, and her phone last pinged in Middleburg at 7:30 AM the next day. It looks like it's only around a 30+ minute drive so where in the world did she go all night?

Poor lady, I hope she is safe and makes it home OK.

Jurisdictions in Clay County, Duval County, Pasco County and Brevard County are helping in the search. Agencies are using what’s known as MEPSAR, a step-by-step procedure used to track down missing people. It’s been used in Jacksonville before to rapidly deploy personnel and equipment.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla — The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has found human remains in a wooded area near Violet Way in Clay Hill. Deputies were searching for Claire Luscombe, a Baker County woman who was reported missing on June 29th. Multiple agencies assisted in the search, including Florida Highway Patrol, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.

CCSO started searching the wooded area on July 9th after a citizen found an SUV and called 911. It was later determined that the vehicle belonged to Luscombe. The remains were found near Luscombe’s SUV.

The Jacksonville Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy and confirm the identity of the remains. No signs of foul play at this time.
