Circumstances of Recovery
The victim was a pedestrian struck by an automobile in the early morning hours in Immokalee. He was thrown a considerable distance according to witnesses. EMS attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. He had a blood alcohol level consistent with intoxication.

I did an online search to see if a pedestrian accident from 1989 was listed in a newspaper or anything but no luck. There is a large agriculture work population in the Immokalee area. It is possible he was not a US Citizen but had been brought in on an agriculture visa.
