Circumstances of Disappearance:
Ratton was last seen in Eagle Lake, Florida on August 20, 2005. He lived in the 300 block of west Assembly Street and he told his mother he was going out to get high. He was carrying a lunch box and backpack. Ratton has never been heard from again. His mother reported him missing on September 2, 2005.

Ratton has relatives in Georgia and Alabama. He has work experience in the construction field. He was involved with drugs and had one previous drug possession conviction, and there have been rumors that he was murdered. Rattton's case is unsolved and his whereabouts remain unknown.

Sounds like he packed to permanently leave, not just a short leave. What did he pack for food? Probably nothing perishable. Perhaps the backpack had clothing but maybe a tent or sleeping bag?
