FL FL - David 'Donny' Pichosky, 71, & Rochelle Wise, 66, Hallandale Beach, 10 Jan 2013

  • #201
I still wonder about the perpetrators' vehicle. In that area - I've been there - they need a vehicle. If they weren't from the area, they would probably rent or perhaps steal one to use. In the event the Pichoskys were followed home from Walmart or another location, a vehicle would be needed. I hope some information is out there on the vehicle used by the perpetrators, from something like a Ring device, a business near the entrance to the condominium complex, a gas station, or the Walmart parking lot. Perhaps the vehicle is a hold back. I hope there's a break in this case soon.

As far as motive is concerned, I agree that Rochelle's ring was probably not the target. Unless the ring is examined with a jeweler's loupe, it is impossible to know the value of the stones. The jewelry market today is saturated with synthetic stones that are sometimes difficult to differentiate from genuine stones. A casual observer has no way of knowing whether the stones on the ring were rhinestones, synthetics or genuine diamonds.

My opinion is still that either Donnie or Rochelle were observed with a lot of cash, perhaps even at an ATM. Some people just have the misfortune of being perceived as "marks" by criminals.

2015 re-post rbbm.
“That’s what the evidence tells us, what science tells us – that there are two females that are involved in this homicide, at least two,” Hallandale Police Chief Dwayne Flournoy said during a press conference Wednesday morning.
Flournoy said police don’t believe the perpetrators knew the couple.
The DNA doesn’t match anyone from the couple’s family or working staff, he said.

Nor does the DNA appear in a databank of profiles collected by law enforcement agencies or Canada’s national DNA databank, he said.'

“They did not have enemies, they did not carry large sums of money, they were not flashy,” Flournoy said. “We don’t know why someone would target them or [if it] was a crime of opportunity.”

'A partial shoe print that was found at the scene has been identified as an Adidas shoe out of production since 2000. The largest model of shoe that sole was used on was the Supernova, Flournoy said. Investigators were not able to determine its size, nor whether it was a man’s or woman’s, he said.

I notice the time stamps on these, are they thinking this is one of the killers, it took less than 6 minutes to tie them up and asphyxiate two people on two separate floors?

'After studying surveillance video and crime scene DNA, Broward County investigators announced that there were at least two killers and that they were female.
It’s a rare thing for women to kill in groups, experts say.'
''It’s an extremely rare thing for female killers to work in a group to murder total strangers,
experts say.
“I have never seen a predatory female killer,” said Dr. C.M. Milroy, a professor at the University of Ottawa and director of the Eastern Ontario Forensic Pathology Unit. “A number of men though.”
Milroy, who has testified as an expert witness in murder trials, said that the Pichosky and Wise murders are extremely atypical.''

Might it be that women killers from outside of the USA operate differently from those homegrown in the USA?

There may not be a great deal of information about women killers and there is probably even less information about European ones, especially in US university criminology departments. If the women are Roma gypsies or Albanians, all bets are off.

Might it be possible for a female who identifies as male, and/or, who prefers romantic female relationships, to adapt behaviors(in this case the negative ones like violence), often associated with men? complete speculation, imo.
