Circumstances of Recovery Remains discovered in a wooded area approximately 125 ft south of the roadway at the above location, by a road survey crew. Remains found in blue jeans and black boots. On 06/11/98, approximately one month prior to the discovery of the remains, an unknown individual matching the description of the deceased (black male) was observed walking along I-10 acting ill and disoriented. When authorities (Baldwin, FL Fire Department) responded to assist, the individual insisted he was ok and then fled into the woods. This incident occurred approximately 50 yards west of where the remains were later found.
