He was found by a man walking his dog. Doesn't say where or how he was found.
Decomposed with the PMI of 2 weeks. One or more limb missing.
He was 5'7 and 154 pounds. Shoulder length brown hair and beard.
Left arm showed track marks consistent with drug abuse.
He wore a sweatshirt with the slogan 'It's better in the bahamas', a brown coarsely-knit sweater and tight-fitting blue shorts.

This other article states this John Doe had shoulder-length red curly hair and was wearing a t-shirt with the saying "It's Better In The Bahamas".

Fingerprints were sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in Tallahassee, "if that doesn't work the prints will go to the FBI in Washington."

Unfortunately, we know none of that worked...

It sounds like someone beat him up. If his personality was violent he could have been in a bar fight or something. The killer could have beat him up before they pulled the gun out.

If he died in a bar fight, they probably wouldn't have gone through the trouble of wrapping his corpse up in cloth and hiding his body in a wooded area. It doesn't say anything about him being beaten up tbf. I feel this murder was probably somewhat personal.
I have no idea what they mean by the missing thing. It could also mean they think he could have ran away from a treatment centre or something.
