FL - Facebook Murder for Hire Attempt

A Nampa woman made an initial appearance this morning on a complaint charging her with using interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire of her husband.

According to the complaint, Monique Christine Martinez contacted an individual in California via Facebook to hire someone to kill her husband.

On October 17, 2014, Martinez met with an undercover FBI Special Agent who she believed was a hit man. Martinez told the undercover agent that she wanted her husband dead, paid the agent $350, and promised an additional payment late in the week.
