LAKE CITY, Fla. — A Lake City woman with a hearing and speech impairment has been reported missing, according to the Lake City Police Department.

Fernika Shirell Taylor, 43, was last seen leaving her home on Wednesday. It is unknown what direction she was traveling or what she was wearing at the time.

Taylor is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 170-185 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes, police said.

I wonder if they have any ideas of what could have happened: nefarious or accident. Seems she’d be back by now if she just wondered off. I hope she’s somewhere safe.

I just read my post, and I didn't even know what I was trying to say! What I should have said was:

TY @Darling136 for that link you posted of the WCJB news article about Fernika. There was a very hopeful comment from CH, but I have been unable to find LE or MSM confirmation of that good news rumor.
