FL - FSU Law Professor Dan Markel Murdered by Hitmen-Donna Adelson Upcoming Trial - *5 Guilty* #28

It doesn’t bother me at all. It’s a fact the TV was broken and we will likely never know how it happened. If I were to bet, it’s probably true that one of the boys threw something at it

I think it probably was broken by them accidentally and then the idea formed in their head that they could use it as an alibi or at least an event WA could cite when talking to LE to demonstrate she was busy that day.

I'm not sure how useful the TV repair will be in a trial. It needs something more. I've read the TV repair man's statement, but I want to know:

1. why he was there for 45 mins after telling WA the TV could not be repaired.
2. what was he doing for 45 mins.
3 hear from WA why she still phoned CA to ask whether she should repair or replace the TV despite being told it could not be repaired.
4. how much was the TV worth. If it was a cheap "dorm TV" why was WA upset?

It's not what you believe or what I believe, it's what the jury believes.

Exactly it's what the jury believes AND all we have heard is a one-sided presentation of the drive to Trescott. It will not be that way in a Wendi trial. I can list SEVERAL things hat will be argued by the defense that NO ONE talks about. I'll give you one simple one – when the defense drills down on where EXACTLY the roadblock north of Tescott was set up – what will be the answer? It's been stated as 2 to 5 houses away. If it was 5 houses away you CAN NOT see Dan’s house from that location. So did Wendi see the police activity at Dan’s house? We simply don’t know definitively. I’m just scratching the surface and giving one point. I have many more things that are problematic for the prosecution in the case against Wendi – but I don’t want to make any enemies here – I like this place :)

She said she saw police tape and turned. The tape says "police tape do not cross." Yet she claimed it might be a fallen tree. In Australia if someone is hurt by a fallen tree the police are not called. It is not a crime scene. There is no crime scene tape.

This didn’t happen in Australia :) Been down this road before – from AI:

In Tallahassee, FL, police may use "Police Line Do Not Cross" tape to secure an area with falling trees if the situation poses a significant public safety risk, such as during a storm, hurricane, or when trees are actively falling and blocking roads. However, this depends on the context:

  • When Police Might Use It:
    • If falling trees create a hazardous situation (e.g., blocking major roads, endangering drivers, or involving downed power lines), the Tallahassee Police Department or Leon County Sheriff’s Office may use police tape to cordon off the area while they manage the scene or await public works or utility crews.

I watched it a few days ago, and my thought was they failed to explain how “Wendi Adelson Incriminated Herself” – which was in the title of the video. I also posted their other video in to another forum that I won’t mention by name -”The Case Against Wendi Adelson: Why She Hasn’t Been Charged”. Which I think they hit the mark… meaning the content was presented in a way the matched the title. IMO, the one you referenced is more clickbait because it didn’t prove at all how Wendi incriminated herself in my opinion.. If I missed something, let me know.
Thats OK lol
I don’t think we saw the same video. :) He made A LOT of connections to it being a family thing.

Funny to me was how she went into great detail in another trial about the oatmeal..the kind you keep stirring and stirring…to Donnas trial of not even remembering if she had breakfast.

I had a whole bunch of notes on a post It but can’t find it now.

So you actually think a reasonable person and a mother would come across that scene, assume it was a fallen tree (despite absence of a fallen tree) and just drive off, calling no-one..

I'm not sure if you're a parent, but 99.99999% of parents upon seeing this scene would jump from their car and run screaming towards the police demanding to know what was going on. WA - casually does a "K-turn" buys booze and goes for a nice lunch date. Zero Fs given...

:) I will attest that it takes much longer to cook Old Fashioned Oats than grits…Now I know where Wendi got the idea from. Lol.

So like if you were planning on robbing a bank and "scoping out the joint" the day before, you could cite case law and not get charged with bank robbery?
Of course not. You must know that someone has to actually rob a bank, to be convicted of robbing a bank.?

How would police come to believe you'd been 'scoping it out', unless they knew you afterwards robbed it?

In which case, you'd be charged with bank robbery, not bank scoping.
