Hernando County deputies are asking for the public's help in finding a missing and endangered man.

Deputies say the last time Gary Litaker, 54, was seen was on July 19 after a breakup with his girlfriend. His girlfriend says he made threats to hurt himself and no one has seen or heard from him since.

Litaker is described as a white man who is around 5'7" tall and weighs around 185 pounds. He is balding and has brown hair with blue eyes, a thin beard and wears baseball caps frequently.

Anyone with information on his location is asked to call the Hernando County Sheriff's Office at (352) 754-6830, or to contact their local law enforcement agency.

Circumstances of Disappearance
Gary's family had last seen him on 04/19/2019 in the early afternoon hours when they dropped him off in the area of Broad St and Cortez Blvd. He was last seen walking westbound wearing a brown T-shirt and blue jeans. Gary also had on a baseball hat of unknown color, potentially blue. Gary said he was going to walk to Tom Varn Park.

Details of Disappearance
Litaker was last seen in Brooksville, Florida on July 19, 2019. His family dropped him off in the vicinity of Broad Street and Cortez Boulevard, and he said he was going to walk to Tom Varn Park. He was last seen walking westbound down the street. Litaker disappeared after a breakup with his girlfriend and has never been heard from again. His cellular phone pinged a few times after his disappearance, but then the battery died. He was only carrying a few dollars with him when he was last seen. His case remains unsolved.
