FL FL - Gerald 'Doug' Oxby, 35, Key West, Aug 1981

Oxby disappeared with his boat, the Antares in August of 1981.
His girlfriend reported him missing and later said she was threatened at gunpoint by the last man to see Oxby alive.
When police wouldn't open an official case, his girlfriend hired a PI, who concluded Oxby was most likely the victim of a crime.
They never found his body or his boat.

Doug Oxby's son's website (linked in first post) has this UID as a possible match for his father but it is not clear if the match was ever submitted: http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/456umfl.html

Perhaps he was involved with a personal or collective enemy of the family or the boat simply failed and sank quickly... these boats are light and reach the seabed very quickly...
